I just had my newly purchased 100-year old home tinted. Really nice owner and his help was fun.

The windows on the house are original, and wavy. We went with a darker tint, the Symphony DS25 and the heat rejection was immediately noticeable. The slight reflectivity also looks great outside.

Because I wanted to keep the windows and not replace them with newer ones, tinting was the best option to keep the house cool and my valuables from fading from UV exposure. I already new the benefits before calling from prior residential tinting experience in Texas, so it was a no-brainer.

Keep in mind, tint is also a reinforcing membrane. So in single-pane windows, I do feel safer. Windows cannot shatter with film. They break more like safety glass and are more rigid.

Needless to say, with very difficult (and old) windows, they knew what they were getting into, and tackled the task carefully. They informed me of every hairline crack they found (again, they’re 100 year old windows) and kept going.

The whole project took two whole days. The price was reasonable and was priced competitively. The extra effort and care in tinting old, wavy and bubbly windows was much appreciated.

Because the windows are so old I do have to repaint along the edges, but this is also something everybody should expect to do when wanting full coverage on old wood frames that are aged. This is beyond the tontera control and you should be prepared for some upkeep afterwords.

They also tidied up before the left.

Highly recommend window tinting from New Century Tint. I had an appointment scheduled in April but to do COVID we had to place on hold. As soon as they could come back out they called, scheduled appointment, were on time and super professional.  David answered all questions I had, worked as a team with other co-worker, were pleasant and it looks amazing. They went above and beyond making sure every window was perfect. Even doing extra. Their process was seamless and I couldn't be happier.  They also did my parents house and they were also pleased with work. David and his team did an excellent job with the film on my 650 square foot porch, which has floor to ceiling sliding doors as walls. It has a total of 25 windows, and 2 glass doors.

In addition, they filmed all of the windows upstairs, including a sliding door with a cat door!

The difference that it has made in my home already is truly amazing!

I am really happy with the work these guys did! My tinted windows and glass shower enclosures look awesome! They responded quickly to email and they were right on time for both the estimate and the day they did the work. They were also very nice and respectful.
